1, Too few doorman for service. No one showed up or helped me of myluggage when I arrived. And during my 3-day-stay there, I found more than oncesuch situation.
2, The hotel just opened last year. My room was 1016 and the smellof decoration was still quite strong. The hotel offered other alternative roomsbut no one was better.
3, We paid to add one bed during my stay but no additional bathroomset.
4. Wi-fi network is available in the hotel, which is quite nice.But the network has some problems .. 1) Very slow for visiting websites outsideChina, hardly could visit 2) The browser was forced to be redirected tohomepages. For example, when I opened www.sina.com.cnand try to open a sport news. The browser would go back to the www.sina.com.cn instead of the news. Ithappens for all my interested websites. It might be necessary for the hotel toget some technical supports to test the websites.
5, As a platinum member, I could check-out till 4pm. But the keywas valid till the morning. Since the elevator needs to be activated by thekey, I have to go to the front desk to renew my key.
6, We use privilege card when having dinner at the Chineserestaurant on the 5th floor. Discount was not right. Glad this problem has beencorrected when we submitted the complaint to the SP card customer service.
7, 10th floor is a non-smoking floor. We found a cigarette end nearthe elevator on Feb-25. It has been lying there for a whole day. Very curioushow often the cleaning check is done.
8, We asked severy services including window opening, more bathroomsets in the room but the responding time for housekeeping is rather long.
9, Only two restaurants in the hotel, one Chinese and one westernbuffet. The ordering menu of the western one is same as room servicemenu. Given the limited options of restaurants, could the dishes deliveredhave more changes? Fuzhou is hardly a tourism city and I suppose most of thevisitors to Fuzhou Westin are for business. It's hard to stay inside the hotelwhen too limited food options.
10. Fixed price of RMB200 for taxi from hotel to airport, no meterprice, no invoice. Concierge said this is unwritten rule for Fuzhou taxi to theairport. I don't have time to argue or challenge since I was in a rush tocatch my plane then. But when I stayed in Fuzhou Shangri-la, I can get meterprice when going to the airport.
