I am in IC Chongqing now and tomorrow will move to Le Meridien, this stay is an extremely horrible experience for me ever, well, I never complain on hotel service but this time I have to say no.
Yesterday I booked hotel through your official website and the confirmation number is xxxxxxx, the rate T&C clearly states that my reservation includes free room upgrades to next level, free breakfast and exec-club access. As a Platinum member of PCR and Ambassador, I didn't expect anything more than what was assigned for me: 1 King-Bed Deluxe Riverview BR. Yes, this is what the system automatically generated and you can easily find it on my reservation record.
When I checked in tonight around 7PM, the girl at the front desk told me that my room doesn't have breakfast included. This is frustrating but I didn't argue, I just told her to check my reservation and call back my room number.
I was tired after 3 hours delay in the airport and 2 hours flight. When I opened the door, woooooow, you know what? I got the GREAT LOWEST END room available in this hotel, 2 bed superior room with Cityview.
No welcome letter, No welcome fruit, No room upgrade, wait, wait, even worse, I got room downgrade. Should I be upgraded 2 level instead? one from my Ambassador status, one from the rate I paid for?(china-visaupgrade)
They finally agreed to upgrade me to the original King-bed Deluxe. Yes, it's their kindly offer to me. Also they agreed to give me fruit as charity for this regretful mistake, my god, does Ambassador suppose to have welcome fruit?
I waited another 3 hours and the fruit is still on the road, maybe it will take years for them to bring it from 1st floor up to 28th.
The worst thing is here, when I called the hotel PCR manager, her first response is: Do you really own a platinum visa card? This rate is only for platinum visa! I assume that you can understand my feeling at the moment....
BTW: 3 Months ago, I met the exact same problem in this same hotel, but I didn't complain. Now I think that I should at least push them to improve their service a little bit.
